| SQL Server DBA / Database - Warwickshire, West Midlands. Massive role here for a globally recognised client specialising in software! You will be working within a fast-paced team and will be focusing on MS SQL Server 2000 enterprise and standard editions. MySQL exposure will also be useful as will dealing with large scale databases. Website integration experience will also be important. Basic understanding of infrastructure of Windows 2000/2003 and even Linux platforms will be useful. Within the role you will have to ensure that the databases are optimised and monitor, manage and report on database whilst maintaining uptime and security/stability of data. Documentation of database alterations and design will be key. Linking in the the DBA work, you will be able to integrate the databases with the web and become involved with website integration. This will involve the analysis, design, development and deployment of database-stored procedures as needed along with web based components.
