Dynamic Technical Storage SAN Administrator sought for exciting contract opportunity. This role could be based in either Middlesex or Milton Keynes
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
The Technical SAN Administrator will be required to manage 350 TB (+) of raw storage using storage vendor leaders EMC (DMX, Sym’s and Clariions) and HDS (9980v + HP equivalent)
- Maintain, manage and reports on storage by use of software products and automated/manual processes.
- Ensures thresholds are not exceeded for switches and storage.
- Provide efficient use of support tools (ECC)
- Provide input into capacity plans for Storage
- Responsible for migration of data between storage vendors
- Ensure balanced and efficient use of storage
DESIRABLE SKILLS
The ideal candidate will be able to prove the following:
- EMC Certified to Storage Administrator, Networked Storage-SAN Specialist or demonstrable equivalent experience
- Technical knowledge/Hands on use of : EMC (ECC v5 +), Cisco Operating system awareness
- Demonstrates good communicate skills
- Flexible approach to working, self motivated with ability to deliver in a busy environment
- Excellent oral and written skills
- Experience in working in a distributed team environment IT service orientated exposure |
