Dynamic 1st Line Unix Administrator required for exciting contract role
This Position is within small shift based teams (24x7) who requireminimum staffing cadres to allow operation during regular operation of the team.
- Individuals will be required to make an on-line service available during agreed live services and monitoring the usage of this service undertaking level 1 & 1.5 system, O/S and application fixes. The individual will also be responsible for housekeeping and entry level admin on the system and informing capacity management of the latest usage figures. They will also be responsible for tape handling and backup management. They will also be responsible for reporting hardware faults to appropriate 3rd party suppliers and arranging on site attendance for engineers when required.
DESIRABLE SKILLS
Good working knowledge of Unix platforms
Flexibility with working hours
