Assistant IT Manager – Altrincham. A truly outstanding career opportunity with one of the leading recruitment groups in the UK.Over the past 5 years our client has increased turnover from £90 million to £220 million and as a result has observed major expansion in the associated IT systems.Our client is about to undertake a major project integrating back and front office systems and this has led to the requirement for an Assistant IT Manager.You will be responsible for delivering key IT services across the group including Network/server/systems security and support; maintaining, updating and testing Disaster Recovery plans. . Educated to Degree or equivalent level you will have a wide range of IT skills with proven track record in mentoring and leading a team.As you will be helping to drive projects forward you will need planning, project management, change management and budget management skills – which will be tested to the utmost. Similarly your coaching and development skills will be required so as to ensure the team are equipped to cope with the changes in infrastructure and systems.This is an operational role and ideally your technical skills should include: Windows 2000/2003 Server, SQL Server, TCP/IP and VOIP. Other requisite skills include people management and supplier management. As part of the role, you will manage the IT Team in the Group IT Manager's absence. Communications skills are key, as is the ability to influence under pressure.
