Dynamic 2nd Line Cisco Support Engineer sought for exciting contract role with major Global client
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
The successful candidate will be required to perform the following:
- Monitor a network of 900 banks using BMC Patrol and Cricket
- Liaise with carriers and telecoms managers to rectify faults for a prompt resolution of all issues
- Respond promptly and accurately to identified events (incident and request tickets), according to established procedures
- Trouble shooting e.g. configuration, utilisation, dirty circuits, remote installations, hardware failures and upgrades
- Work 24 x 7 shifts, working a continental shift pattern 19.45-8am (11 hours to be worked – 1.5 hour break)
- Other related duties
DESIRABLE SKILLS
The ideal candiate will be able to prove the following:
- Working knowledge of Cisco, preferably up to the levels of CCNA/CCDP/CCIE/CCSP
- Diverse, complex configuration knowledge would be highly desirable
- Significant experience in a SMC or NOC
- Working knowledge of Sun Solaris boxes, Unix, BMC Patrol, Cisco Works, Cricket, MS and a Windows operating (good PC skills for XP and 2003 |
