| Job description: must have security clearance or be willing to undergo this process. Key purpose of job: to provide technical, configuration & implementation assistance for the migration of voice services onto the new DFTS (F) Common Core Platform. To provide technical, configuration & implementation assistance for the design & delivery of new & existing DFTS business solutions. Must have a very good knowledge & be technically competent in the following areas. Siemens & Nortel TDM switch build & configuration down to individual table build & entry. Must have a very working knowledge of DPNSS & network build & configuration. Job responsibilities: to produce design notes to support the migration of Voice services onto the DFTS (F) Common Core Platform. To Produce Design Notes to support the design & delivery of New DFTS Voice services. To provide technical assistance for the integration of new voice networks into the existing and/or new DFTS voice network. To build & configure new sites and/or produce technical configuration documents for Voice Networking of New DFTS Services. To assist in the production of test & acceptance documentation & provide technical assistance for test & acceptance completion. To support the specification & implementation of new technologies into the DFTS voice platform. To undertake a range of simplex through complex configuration changes as required of the role. Candidate specification: excellent organisational skills. Excellent PC. |
