| Must have security clearance or be willing to undergo security clearance. The role is based within a network operation centre monitoring and providing technical support to the daily running of WAN's on behalf of an international telecommunications company. Candidates will be responsible for the control and configuration management of voice and data networks containing sensitive information using a range of unique network management products encompassing commissioning, fault finding and recording. Key job responsibilities: provide point to point channel configuration. Programme inter-nodal static routes and maintain system continuity and availability. Follow procedures and working methods to ensure that tasks are achieved to agreed time scales. Assist far end Network Engineers in commissioning new services. Candidates will also be required to carry out additional simple tasks as and when required such as visits to customer sites to carry out logistical or audit functions. It is expected that candidates will be required to participate in additional functions from their primary task on occasion. Candidate specification: patient logical fault finding approach. Able to remain calm and focused under pressure. Good team worker. Fast starter. Ability to adapt to change and a flexible approach to work. Skills: system engineering/design/management principles and practices. Network management experience incorporating configuration, commissioning, modelling and building. |
