Ambitious IT consultancy based in Birmingham specialising in delivering business solutions using various technologies. You will be working with high profile customers means that we deploy or work with enterprise-level technologies which are normally beyond the scope of a small company. You will share in the day-to-day management of our internal IT infrastructure, and the introduction of new technologies into our environment. Some customer contact is to be expected, including occasional visits to customer sites. The ideal candidate would have experience of some of the following technologies, LINUX being the primary need. Hardware servers, desktops, laptops, Ethernet networking, Windows 2000/2003 Server, Linux. Active Directory, Exchange, SharePoint, WSUS, Apache, backup solutions, MS SQL Server, Windows XP, MS Office, TCP/IP, routing, VPN (permanent site-to-site, and remote user/dial-up), DNS, DHCP, WINS, WANS, SAN, Anti-virus, home workers, and VOIP.
