Job Description:
|
1st Line HW Technical Support Analysts (IT HW knowledge, Telephone/Customer Service experience, fault diagnosis, organisation skills, ability to explain technical issues in a non-technical way) are required to join our market leading client at their location in Berkshire.
The role:
- First line contact for customers technical queries
- Providing either a solution to technical queries or routing the contact through the correct channel
- Taking calls from consumer & corporate customers and engineers in the field
- Diagnosing faults, answering questions and problems on pc’s, windows and NT
- Recording all calls to provide an information database
- Solving / trouble shooting to resolution
- Working on a rota basis to cover the Help Desk
Education requirements:
- Good secondary education
- Ideally higher level education in computing related subject

Skills & Experience:
- Basic IT hardware knowledge
- Telephone/Customer Service experience
- Ability to diagnose faults and problems
- Ability to manage call volumes
- Effective management of customer issues
- Active listening and empathy
- Ability to explain technical instructions in a non-technical way.
- Ideally 1 years previous experience on a help desk
