| Support Analyst/(2nd line support). Working within the Information Systems services team you will provide support for all users of computer systems and network infrastructure. To assist in the development, support and maintenance of my clients information and communications technology infrastructure. Act as IS Duty Support Officer. Main tasks: to provide first line support and maintenance to the installed base of PC's, MAC's and associated peripherals. To investigate more difficult problems, rectifying and applying changes where possible, and escalating the others to second line support personnel. To administer the Novell network, creating and maintaining user network and email accounts and print Servers, using Netware, Groupwise and Active Directory. To assist in the backup, archiving and restoration of data residing on the network Servers. Research via the Internet and attendance on training courses. IS Duty Support Officer. Be the first point of call for all IS incidents. Perform initial diagnosis and prioritise. During the normal working week log helpdesk calls and provide telephone and email support to users on a rota basis. As part of the support team rota, work some weekends and other times. Essential requirements experience in desktop support large PC installation. Knowledge and experience of Novell Netware and Groupwise and ZENWorks. Windows operating system and Active Directory. |
